There have been significant updates to the HSOT’s Area Code Top 15 rankings, located at the end of this article.

These are some aspects of our rankings system for boys’ basketball:

  • The rankings are refreshed on a weekly basis and made available every Monday.

  • “Every high school in North Carolina, except for athletic training academies, is qualified for the top 25 rankings in the state.”

  • The state’s six area codes have a separate top 15 list that is updated weekly.

  • During the playoffs for the N.C. High School Athletic Association, rankings will be put on hold.
