Key defensive numbers for every remaining team in the 4th round

This is an examination of important defensive statistics that are not usually made available at the high school level.

MaxPreps does not calculate defensive statistics like yards allowed per game, passing completion percentage allowed, and rushing yards per carry allowed. I’ve gone through each of the remaining 32 playoff teams’ games and calculated all of these numbers for HSOT Insiders.

Important note: This task is based on the accuracy of the statistics entered by the opponents of our remaining playoff teams into MaxPreps. Unfortunately, some teams choose not to share their stats, which means that these defensive numbers may not be completely accurate. For example, Clayton had a strong offensive showing in their 33-31 loss to Cleveland, but because they do not make their game stats public, Cleveland’s yardage and completion percentage may not reflect this. However, it should be noted that most of the 32 games have a sample size of at least 10 games, so these numbers should be fairly representative of the actual statistics.
