The Tenerife football club is located in the Canary Islands and was established on November 21, 1912. Their home games are played at Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez stadium, which was inaugurated on July 25, 1925 and has a capacity of 22,824 seats.

The 1990s saw Los Insulares rise to become the top division club, but in 1999 they were relegated to La Liga 2. Despite playing in La Liga for two more seasons (2001/02, 2009/10), Tenerife has since been competing in lower leagues. Their home jerseys are white and blue, while their away kit is primarily light green.

In the 1993/94 season, Tenerife competed in the UEFA Cup and successfully eliminated teams such as Auxerre and Olympiakos. However, they were ultimately defeated by Juventus in the last 16. Three years later, Tenerife impressively reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup. Las Palmas is widely regarded as Tenerife’s top rival.
