Our prediction for this Premier League match:

Everton

Everton

Brentford

Brentford

Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, Everton will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Brentford in the Premier League round 35. The Toffees are eyeing their fourth consecutive win at home ground and, as a result, the odds for home win have been dropping. Vitalii Mykolenko should be fit for Saturday’s clash despite suffering a minor injury in the midweek triumph, while Seamus Coleman is a major doubt.

The Bees, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 5-1 win over Luton Town, but given Everton’s fine winning run at home, we predict that the visitors are going to return to London with their hands empty. Both Ben Mee and Aaron Hickey are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Liverpool.

Highlighted Player (Abdoulaye Doucouré):

Abdoulaye Doucouré

French international midfielder Abdoulaye Doucour is a bundle of raw energy and a player who was voted Watford’s Player of the Season during the 2017/18 campaign. A deep-lying midfielder who takes part in play build-up from behind is a defensive asset who took time to blossom and announce himself at the international stage. He first burst to prominence at Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2012 after a year with the club’s B side and went on to play 75 league matches and score 12 goals.

Watford bought Doucoure in 2016 but sent him on loan to Granada, where he took part in 15 league matches. Determined to prove his worth in the Premier League, the Frenchman of Mali descent wasted no time in grabbing a starting spot under both Marco Silva and Javi Garcia, respectively, upon his return from Spain.

The total of 38 matches played along with 8 goals scored made Doucoure one of the most sought-after assets in the summer of 2018 but the player remained at Vicarage Road despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Highlighted Team (Brentford):

Brentford

Based in London, Brentford compete in the Championship and they were founded in 1898. Griffin Park has been the home ground of the club since 1904 and the capacity of the venue is 12,300.

The Bees have yet to play in the Premier League and it has to be noted that they made it to the FA Cup sixth round on four occasions (1937/1938, 1945/1946,1948/1949, 1988/1989). Brentford played in the League Cup round 4 in the 1982/1983 and 2010/2011 season and that is the club’s biggest success in the competition.

Brentford’s main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers and they take on each other in the West London Derby. The rivalry with the Cottagers is probably the biggest and you should bear in mind that the clashes between the two teams have their history of crowd violence. The colour of Brentford’s shirts is red and white and they wear black shorts.
