The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has announced the timetable for the 2023 state championship football games.

The finals for the state championship will take place on December 8th and 9th. Two matches will be held at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, while two more will be played at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.

The champions of the eastern and western regional events, taking place on Friday, December 1, will progress to the state championship matches for their designated categories.

A media event will occur on Monday, December 4th, at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte for all finalists from across the state. HighSchoolOT will provide coverage of the conference, including a live broadcast.

The 2023 schedule for the NCHSAA football state championships is as follows:

Friday, Dec. 8:

  • The 3A State Championship will take place at Kenan Stadium/UNC at 7:00 PM.

Saturday, Dec. 9:

  • On the schedule: State Championship game at 12:00 PM, held at Kenan Stadium on the UNC campus.

  • The 2A State Championship will take place at Carter-Finley Stadium on the NC State campus at 3:00 PM.

  • At 7:00 PM, the 4A State Championship will take place at Carter-Finley Stadium, which is located at NC State.

Tickets for the state football championship matches will be priced at $15. The NFHS Network will broadcast the games live and they will also be shown on various local TV channels.

The NCHSAA will announce the complete TV schedule at a future time.
