The final game of the regular season saw No. 5 Cuthbertson defeat No. 17 Cox Mill with a shutout victory.

The top two teams in the state, Cuthbertson and Cox Mill, had a final preparation match which gave them insight into what to anticipate as the playoffs commence next week.

The fifth-ranked team, the Cavaliers, scored in the first half with a goal by Kian Flynn, his second of the season, and managed to secure a 1-0 victory against the seventeenth-ranked Cox Mill team.

Cuthbertson High School, with a record of 12 wins, 3 losses, and 3 ties, had secured the Southern Carolina Conference championship. This is a significant accomplishment in a competitive league where three different schools have competed for the state title in the past ten years.

The Cavaliers only allowed 18 goals in 18 games this season.

Cox Mill, with a record of 12-7-1, took third place in the Greater Metro 4 Conference, coming in behind Hickory Ridge and Lake Norman.
