Revised schedule and winners of NCISAA fall sports tournaments


This week, the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association will declare the majority of its state champions for fall sports. However, football, which has a longer season, is the only sport that will not have its state championship determined this week.

The winners of the state championship will be listed below as they are determined.

The state champions for fall sports in 2023 for NCISAA.

  • The girls’ golf teams for Durham Academy (D1) and O’Neal School (D2).

  • Female golfers (individual) – Jenna Kim from Durham Academy (Division 1) and Victoria Davis from Cary Christian (Division 2)

Tournaments are organized by athletic activity and arranged chronologically.

Girls Golf

On Monday and Tuesday, October 23rd and 24th, we will be at Keith Hills Golf Course in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Cross Country

On Friday, October 27, the location will be WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.

    9 a.m. — Two A girls basketball

  • basketball

    At 9:45 in the morning, there will be a 2A boys basketball game.

  • 10:30 a.m. — 3A girls
  • soccer

    “At eleven-fifteen in the morning, the 3A boys soccer game is taking place.”

  • noon — 4A girls
  • ‘ soccer

    The boys’ soccer game for the 4A division will start at 12:45 p.m.

  • 1:30 in the afternoon – Girls 1A

  • 2:15 in the afternoon – First grade boys in section A

Field Hockey

On Saturday, October 28th, we will be at Charlotte Country Day.

  • 1 p.m. — (3) Cary Christian at (1) Charlotte Country Day

Boys Soccer

Saturday, Oct. 28 — at multiple sites

  • At noon, Crossroads Christian will face off against Bradford Academy at N.C. Wesleyan.

  • At 2A, the game between TBD and TBD will take place at 1 p.m. at Fayetteville Academy.

  • 3 p.m. at Calvary Day, Calvary Day will be playing against Cape Fear Academy.

  • 4A: Wesleyan Christian will play against Rabun Gap, Georgia at 1 p.m.

Girls Tennis

On Saturday, October 28th, there will be events happening at various locations.

  • At N.C. Wesleyan, the game at 1 p.m. will feature (1) Ridgecroft School against (2) Cape Fear Christian.

  • The match between Gaston Day and Trinity School of Durham-Chapel Hill will take place at 11 a.m. at Cary Tennis Center.

  • 3A: 11 a.m. at Cary Tennis Center — (1) Cape Fear Academy vs (3) St. David’s
  • At 11 a.m., there will be a game between (1) Charlotte Country Day and (2) Providence Day at the Charlotte Country Day school.

Volleyball

On Saturday, October 28, the game will be played at the location of the higher seeded team.

  • On 1A, at 2 p.m., Albemarle School will host Pungo Christian.

  • 2A, TBA — TBD vs TBD
  • At 4 p.m. on 3A, the Wake Christian team will face off against the GRACE Christian of Raleigh team, who is currently ranked first.

  • 4A, 2 p.m. — (3) North Raleigh Christian at (1) Cannon School

Football

On Friday, November 17th, at various locations.

  • Eight players on each team will compete at a to-be-announced location that is neither home nor away.

  • 11-man D1 — at higher seed
  • 11-man D2 — at higher seed
