The Seventy-First Falcons maintained their perfect record by defeating Williams High School of Burlington with a score of 40-20.

DeAndre Nance, a young quarterback, recorded a total of five touchdowns, with two being scored on the ground.

At the 5:14 mark in the third quarter, Williams narrowed the gap to 21-13, but Seventy-First ultimately secured the win with a double score.

In the first quarter, Nance scored a 19-yard touchdown for the Falcons with a quarterback draw. Later on, Donavan Frederick also contributed to the score, but Seventy-First’s extra point was unsuccessful.

Seventy-First was ahead 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, sophomore Nathan Williams-Medley scored a three-yard touchdown for Williams on a fourth-and-goal play with 6:04 remaining. However, the extra point attempt was unsuccessful.

Just before halftime, Nance scored a touchdown with a seven-yard run. Seventy-First team gained a two-score lead with only 23 seconds remaining in the first half.

At the end of the first half, Seventy-First was leading 21-6.

Amarion Richmond scored a three-yard touchdown run, reducing Seventy-First’s lead to 21-13.

Four minutes after, Nance made a 40-yard touchdown run. The attempt for a two-point conversion was unsuccessful, giving Seventy-First a lead of 27-13.

During the final quarter, Nance scored his fourth touchdown with a 15-yard run. This increased the Falcons’ lead to 33-13 with 8:14 remaining.

With only 4 minutes and 34 seconds remaining in the game, Williams’ quarterback Dan Mahan threw a successful pass to tight end Andrew Cruz for a 15-yard touchdown.

Nance threw a touchdown pass to running back Jayson Franklin.

The Bulldogs completed their season with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses overall, and a record of 5 wins and 1 loss in the Central 3A Conference.
