Albert Rusnak was born on July 7, 1994 in Vyskov, Czech Republic. He started his youth career with KAC Kosice and later joined MFK Kosice in 1997. His talent was noticed by Manchester City scouts, but he was loaned to Oldham City without playing in the Premier League for the Citizens.
After just two games with the Latics, the Slovak player transferred to Birmingham City in 2014. Following the end of his loan stint with Cambuur, Albert Rusnak joined FC Groningen in 2015 where he remarkably scored nine goals in 61 games for the Dutch team in the Eredivisie.
