Watch rivals Southern Nash vs. Northern Nash in the HighSchoolOT Game of the Week

This fall, HighSchoolOT is providing a play-by-play broadcast of a top game in North Carolina each Friday.

HighSchoolOT’s award-winning journalist J. Mike Blake will be on the call. Blake will provide live analysis with his unique brand of historical knowledge.

Our week ten Game of the Week live stream features a rivalry game in Nash County between heavyweights 7-1 Southern Nash and 8-0 Northern Nash. The game will be played at Northern Nash High School.

The broadcast will start at 7:00 p.m.

Along with our Game of the Week broadcast, HighSchoolOT will continue to have the most up-to-the-minute scores from across North Carolina. Access our live scoreboard here:

The winner of this Big East 2A/3A Conference contest could find itself as the recipient of a top playoff seed in the 3A East playoffs.

Northern Nash is 4-0 in conference play and Southern Nash is 3-1 after a one-point loss to 4-0 Rocky Mount last week. A Northern Nash win on Friday would put it in position to clinch a conference championship against Rocky Mount next week. A Southern Nash win would require some help from Northern Nash against Rocky Mount next week to force a three-way co-conference championship.

Watch for Southern Nash star running back Tylik Mitchell, who is one of the state’s leaders. Mitchell has rushed for 1,751 yards and 20 touchdowns in eight games.

Northern Nash has a star duo in the backfield: senior Barian Strickland and sophomore Myles Eatmon. Strickland has rushed for 1,302 yards and 21 touchdowns in seven games. Eatmon has 1,070 yards and 14 touchdowns in eight games.

In addition to the Game of the Week broadcast, HighSchoolOT will have plenty of other high school football coverage from across the state.

After the games, tune in to the return of the live HSOT Postgame Show at 10:30 p.m. HSOT Managing Editor Nick Stevens will recap all of the biggest stories and performances that happened under the Friday night lights.
