Portland 2 region: No. 3 seed NC State to play No. 14 seed Chattanooga

NC State, ranked third and with a record of 27 wins and 6 losses overall and 13 wins and 5 losses in the ACC conference, will begin the NCAA Tournament at their home arena, Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh. They will compete against Chattanooga, seeded in 14th place with a record of 28 wins and 4 losses overall and 13 wins and 1 loss in the Southern conference.

As of 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, the NCAA has not yet released the dates and TV networks for the first-round games of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

NC State was defeated by Notre Dame with a score of 55-51 during the ACC Tournament.

The NC State women’s basketball team will be participating in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament for the 29th time.

The NCAA Tournament’s first two rounds will be held in Raleigh, hosted by the Wolfpack.

On March 10, Chattanooga triumphed over UNC Greensboro with a score of 69-60, earning the Southern Conference championship title. They head into the NCAA Tournament with a five-game winning streak.

The victor of the match between NC State and Chattanooga will advance to face the victor of the Tennessee (seeded sixth) and Green Bay (seeded 11th) game.

The victor of the second-round game will advance to Portland, Oregon for regional play from March 29 to April 1. The Final Four will take place in Cleveland during the weekend of April 5-7.

The 3rd region in Portland will see a matchup between No. 7 Duke and No. 10 Richmond in Columbus, Ohio.

Duke, seeded 7th with a record of 20-11 (11-7 in the ACC), is set to face off against Richmond, seeded 10th with a record of 29-5 (16-2 in the Atlantic 10), in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.

On March 8 in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, Duke was defeated by NC State with a score of 54-51.

In Columbia, South Carolina, No. 8 North Carolina will face off against No. 9 Michigan State in the Albany 1 region.

The first round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbia, South Carolina will see a match between No. 8 seeded North Carolina (19-12, 11-7 ACC) and No. 9 seeded Michigan State (22-8, 12-6 Big Ten).

The victor is expected to face the top-ranked team, South Carolina, in the second round.

the Tar Heels have earned a spot

This is the fourth consecutive year that North Carolina has been selected for the NCAA Tournament, and it marks the 31st instance of the Tar Heels making it to the tournament.

On March 7, UNC lost to Miami in the second round of the ACC Tournament after squandering a 14-point lead and falling 60-59.

In the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, Michigan State suffered a 73-61 defeat at the hands of Nebraska.

North Carolina has won four out of the five games they have played against Michigan State so far. The last time the two teams faced off was in the 2013-14 season.
