The Carolina Panthers are making adjustments to their leadership by bringing on new members to their front office and coaching staff. Brandt Tilis will now serve as the executive vice president of football operations, while the coaching staff has also added new position coaches for assistant head coach/run game coordinator, running backs, wide receivers, and offensive line.

Brandt Tilis has joined the front office.

Dan Morgan is the president and general manager of the football operations, while Tilis will handle all non-coaching tasks related to football administration, equipment, video, and analytics. Tilis previously spent 14 years with the Kansas City Chiefs, including three years as the vice president of football operations. He was responsible for negotiating contracts and will continue to do so for the Panthers.

Morgan expressed enthusiasm about bringing Brandt and his expertise into our company. Brandt hails from a successful team in Kansas City and will have a prominent position in our front office. We are eager to have him join us and collaborate to strengthen our team.

On their website, the Panthers state that Tilis will bring a “data-driven approach to managing the salary cap and contracts.”

The coaching team is coming together.

This week, four new members of the Panthers coaching staff were officially introduced. The most prominent position was given to Harold Goodwin, who will serve as the assistant head coach and run game coordinator. Bernie Parmalee is set to assume the role of running backs coach. Parmalee has previous experience playing for the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins in the NFL and has spent the last three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has also served as a coach for four other NFL teams and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Rob Moore has been appointed as the coach for the wide receivers. He has previously served as a receivers coach for the Tennessee Titans for six seasons, crossing state lines.

Joe Gilbert has been hired as the offensive line coach for the Panthers. He has previous experience coaching the offensive line for the Tampa Bay team in the NFC South since 2019.
