The latest NC Courage jerseys pay tribute to the Triangle and the official motto of the state on WRALSportsFan.com.
Cary, N.C.
The North Carolina Courage debuted new team jerseys.
The team revealed their primary and secondary kits for 2024 on Tuesday, as part of the National Women’s Soccer League and Nike’s release of a significant redesign for the league.
The uniforms have diffusing shades of blue and red throughout with angular patterns in a retro shout out to the Triangle. The Courage primary kit is one of several across the NWSL to feature an “Outer Pride,” a saying or logo selected by the club to represent their community.
The motto of Courage Outer Pride is “Be > Seem,” which is inspired by North Carolina’s official motto: “To be, rather than to seem.”
Francie Gottsegen, President of the North Carolina Courage, expressed their excitement for the club and the NWSL. They praised the intricacy and design of the kit, which accurately represents the team and region. The commitment from both the NWSL and Nike to invest time and resources into this project shows the league’s current success and promising future, as well as their dedication to providing a top-notch player experience. These kits are something that all fans of the Courage can take pride in.
The 2024 season for The Courage begins on March 16th with a match against the Houston Dash at WakeMed Soccer Park.
