The Lake Norman boys’ team won their 7th consecutive game by defeating Hickory Ridge.
In a face-off between the leading two teams in the Greater Metro 4 Conference, Lake Norman demonstrated its continued dominance.
The Wildcats, ranked No. 10, dominated the second quarter and secured an easy victory of 77-58 against the Ragin’ Bulls on their home court on Thursday.
At halftime, Lake Norman (17-1, 6-0) was ahead of Hickory Ridge (14-4, 5-1) by a score of 45-23, with a 24-8 advantage in the second quarter.
The Wildcats have won seven consecutive games and were propelled by their signature balanced offense, with Josh Yates scoring 18 points, Trent Steinour contributing 16, Tre McKinnon scoring 15, and Santana Lynch adding 13.
Lake Norman’s only loss this year came by a single point against No. 9 Weddington.
Parker Watkins led the Ragin’ Bulls with a total of 16 points.
