The first statewide tournament ranked Lumberton girls wrestling as the top team out of 25.

The initial rankings for girls wrestling by HighSchoolOT have concluded, with Lumberton in the top spot.

Lumberton emerged as the champion of the first ever N.C. High School Athletic Association state tournament. In addition, No. 4 Hoke County claimed the unofficial state dual-team title, defeating No. 23 Swain County.

In the end, 15 teams from the midseason top 25 received spots in the state rankings, with unranked team Mount Pleasant coming in at No. 7. Havelock, previously ranked No. 1, took third place.

The comprehensive list of the top 25 teams in the state is listed below, along with their scores from the NCHSAA tournament. In the event of ties, the team with the highest placement in the state was used as the tiebreaker.
