The 2024 HighSchoolOT All-State Boys Soccer Team

The fifth-annual HighSchoolOT boys soccer all-state team features 15 players making a second or third appearance on the team, including one that is now a two-time first-team selection.

The all-state list features a first, second, and third team with 20 players each with the following positions allotted per team: two goalkeepers, four defenders, five midfielders, five forwards, and four “at-large” spots. There is also an Honorable Mention list of 40 players regardless of position.

Players are listed in by position within each team (some players played multiple positions, so the one listed by the coaches association was used), and in alphabetical by school after that. Some highlights:

  • Ardrey Kell goalkeeper Cole Freeman graduates as a three-time selection and the team’s only repeat first-team selection.
  • There are 14 two-time selections: Holly Springs’ Sean O’Laughlin, Owen’s Davis Kendall, West Forsyth’s Haegen Paschold, Hobbton’s Henry Jorge, Wesleyan Christian’s Sean Jacobs, Wallace-Rose Hill’s Alex Zepada, Asheboro’s Diego Bustamante, Southwestern Randolph’s Fernando Hernandez, Pine Lake Prep’s Judah Heis, Patton’s Isai Jimenez, First Flight’s Colin Rhodes, Cary’s Santiago Escobar, James Kenan’s Peter Omega, and Green Hope’s Jacob Colberg.
  • Two players, Jorge and Asheboro’s Cameron Letterlough, each finished in the top 10 in NCHSAA history for goals scored in a single season.
