Statewide Boys Soccer Rankings: Seven red-hot teams join HSOT Top 25

The HighSchoolOT statewide boys soccer rankings features a whopping seven new teams, while Wesleyan Christian remains in the top spot.

Northwest Guilford and Garinger and the highest-ranking new teams at Nos. 13 and 14. Southwestern Randolph is close behind at No. 15. The other four teams joining are No. 21 Broughton, No. 23 Asheville, No. 24 A.C. Reynolds, and No. 25 Hickory Ridge.

Combined, the seven new teams are 24-3-2 with one out-of-state loss and two top-10 losses included in those totals.

Falling out this week were Hough, Hickory, Chapel Hill, Greene Central, Weddington, Enloe, and Midway.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes. Members of any of these four associations — N.C. High School Athletic Association, N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association, N.C. Christian Schools Association, N.C. Homeschool Athletic Commission — are eligible.
