Statewide Boys Soccer Rankings: Asheboro, Enka join HSOT Top 25

The HighSchoolOT statewide boys soccer rankings feature two new teams after one week of play.

Wesleyan Christian remains in the top spot, having tied Grimsley, which moved up from No. 8 to third.

Hough, which fell to Wesleyan, moved up a tick to fourth. West Forsyth remains second.

Green Hope and Western Alamance joined the top 10 with Ardrey Kell sliding six spots after two ties in as many matches.

Asheboro and Enka join this week. The Blue Comets are 1-1, having lost at Hoggard but defeating Ashley, which knocked the Screaming Eagles from the top 10. Enka is off to a 2-0 start.

Holly Springs and South Mecklenburg fell out of this week’s rankings.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes. Members of any of these four associations — N.C. High School Athletic Association, N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association, N.C. Christian Schools Association, N.C. Homeschool Athletic Commission — are eligible.
