Sophomore Jenna Kim 3-peats NCISAA DI girls golf title as does Durham Academy
The state’s top-ranked girls golfer now has her third N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I individual state championship.
And she’s only a sophomore.
Durham Academy’s Jenna Kim shot a 2-under par over two days at Keith Hills Golf Course in Buies Creek to win by six strokes.
Kim was also crowned the NCISAA DI champion as an eighth grader and as a freshman. She was second as a seventh-grader.
It was also the third straight title for Durham Academy, which edged Providence Day by a slim four strokes — much closer than last year’s 82-stroke margin of victory.
