Softball Statewide Top 25: Weddington moves up to No. 1 spot; six new teams join this week’s poll
Weddington is the new No. 1 team in HighSchoolOT’s statewide Top 25 softball poll. The Warriors went unbeaten in their first week of conference play. Top-ranked South Caldwell fell to No. 3 after a thrilling extra innings battle with now No. 2 Alexander Central who makes the leap up from No. 5.
Hough, Enka, Crest, Cleveland, Providence, and Corinth Holders all join this week’s statewide Top 25 poll with a combined record of 41-10.
