The United States Air Force Academy’s football program is having success recruiting North Carolina’s class of 2025.

In addition to the Falcons receiving a commitment from Reidsville High School 1,000-yard rusher Jariel Cobb, Air Force has also received a pledge from Cleveland High School defensive back Ronalon Renwick. Air Force is a Division I FBS program that competes in the Mountain West Conference.

Renwick announced his decision to his X account on July 6. He is a big defensive back who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds on Cleveland’s MaxPreps roster. According to his X profile, Renwick holds a 4.1 GPA. He has been clocked at a 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash and an 11.22 in the 100-meter.

He previously reported verbal offers from Lenoir-Rhyne, Army, Navy, Favyetteville State, and Maine.

The rising senior has been a regular player on Cleveland’s varsity team since his sophomore year. Over his two seasons on varsity, Renwick has compiled 41 total tackles, one for a loss, one interception, 14 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.

In 2023, Cleveland finished with a 13-1 overall record and made it to the fourth round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association’s 4A East playoffs.
