Rolesville freshman DB Marquis Bryant offered by NC State
Rolesville High School rising sophomore defensive back Marquis Bryant has picked up his first offer from an ACC school. On Wednesday, Bryant posted to his X account that he received a verbal offer from NC State’s football program. It is his fourth overall offer.
The rising sophomore’s first offer came from Troy in January. Since then, he’s been offered by Indiana, Charlotte, and now NC State.
Bryant is listed at six feet tall and 183 pounds. He plays basketball as well as football. He played safety on Rolesville’s varsity team in 2023.
As a freshman last fall, Bryant compiled 53 total tackles (33 solo), one sack, one forced fumble, three interceptions, and 11 pass breakups.
The Rams concluded last fall’s season with a 12-2 overall record and won the NAC 6 Conference. Rolesville fell to Cardinal Gibbons in fourth round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association’s 4A East playoffs.
