Rolesville First Team All-State WR Jaedon Alford commits to Elon

Elon’s hot start to its in state class of 2025 recruiting class got even warmer with a commitment by Rolesville wide receiver Jaedon Alford on Friday. Alford was a First Team HighSchoolOT All-State selection in 2023.

He chose Elon over a good number of FBS offers. Elon is a Division I FCS program.

Over his recruitment, Alford received offers from (in order) Bethune-Cookman, East Carolina, Appalachian State, Liberty, Wake Forest, UConn, James Madison, Troy, Temple, Coastal Carolina, Elon, Charlotte, Austin Peay, Western Illinois, Buffalo, Old Dominion, Marshall, Mercer, Wofford, Furman, Howard, Richmond, Maine, Georgia Southern, and Charleston Southern.

He is listed at six feet tall and 190 pounds.

Alford is the third in-state commitment for the Phoenix so far in the class. Elon previous received pledges from Mallard Creek defensive lineman Chaz Knox and Northwest Cabarrus offensive lineman Nolan Irwin.

During his junior season, Alford caught 92 passes for 1,815 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Rolesville finished last fall with a 12-2 overall record. The Rams lost to Cardinal Gibbons in the fourth round of the NCHSAA 4A East playoffs.
