Aug. 28, 9:07 p.m. – Florida State University’s football program became the first to put their trust in Archer with a verbal scholarship offer. He was the best freshman defensive lineman in North Carolina in 2023 and the floodgates for his recruiting might open up after receiving an ACC offer to kick off his recruitment.

• 2023-24: Archer was an instant call-up to Seventy-First’s varsity team during his freshman year. He went on to prove head coach Duran McLaurin and company for putting him on varsity. Archer compiled 82 tackles (5.9/game), 29 tackles for a loss, three sacks, and a fumble recovery during his freshman campaign.
• 2023-24: Helps Seventy-First win the 3A East regional championship. The Falcons fell to Hickory 33-26 in the 3A state championship game.
