The 2024 edition of the Reese’s Senior Bowl occurred on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama.

A former student of Ardrey Kell High School stood out as one of the top players in the game.

Cedric Gray, a player from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, contributed to the National team’s 16-7 win against the American team.

Gray ended the game with a total of seven tackles, four of which were solo. He had a significant pass breakup on a crucial third down. His performance received commendation from various NFL media outlets, including commentators Daniel Jeremiah and Charles Davis on the NFL Network’s broadcast. Additionally, media professionals who observed Gray’s practices during the Senior Bowl week also gave positive feedback on his work during those sessions.

In 2023, the Tar Heels’ linebacker received the honor of being named First Team All-ACC. Throughout the season, he recorded 121 tackles, 11 of which were for a loss, five sacks, one interception, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

During his time at Ardrey Kell in South Charlotte, Gray excelled as a receiver. Throughout three years on varsity, he accumulated 143 catches for 2,467 yards and 27 touchdowns. On the defensive end, Gray recorded 130 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three interceptions, and a forced fumble in his last two seasons.

During Gray’s senior year, Ardrey Kell had a final record of 11-2.
