Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers host the New York Jets this weekend in the teams’ second preseason game.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and the game airs on WRAL-TV.
As of Friday, it’s unclear whether second-year quarterback Bryce Young and the Panthers starters will play Saturday night.
Jets coach Robert Saleh also hasn’t said whether his starters would play Saturday. If Aaron Rodgers plays, it would mark his first NFL game since an Achilles injury in Week 1 of the 2023 season.
The Panthers and Jets have had joint practices this week.
On Thursday, Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. reportedly caught a pass over a Jets defender while being held, and then flipped the ball onto the player which started a little dustup.
No one was hurt, but in a game, a play like that can cost the Panthers in the form of a penalty.
The Panthers lost their first preseason game 17-3 on the road against the New England Patriots.
The Jets won 20-17 in their first preseason game against the Washington Commanders.
