A former NC State football player and Carolina Panthers team executive is facing domestic violence charges in Arizona.

Adrian Wilson is facing three domestic violence-related charges in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to court records.

The Panthers have terminated Wilson from his role as Vice President of Player Personnel.

“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” the team said in a statement. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”

Wilson is charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and damaging property.

Wilson, a High Point native, played safety for 13 years in the NFL after playing for NC State from 1998 to 2000. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2001 NFL Draft and spent the majority of his playing career in Arizona.

While with the Cardinals, Wilson played in Super Bowl XLIII, widely-known as one of the most memorable Super Bowls.
