North Carolina High School Football Rankings: The Top 25 teams in the state right now

HighSchoolOT has released its updated North Carolina high school football rankings following the action of week seven.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes.

East Forysth’s one-score win over Mount Tabor led to the Eagles slipping to No. 8 from No. 4. It was certainly a great win, but No. 3 Grimsley defeated Mount Tabor by three touchdowns. With East Forsyth’s slight fall, Dudley, Hough, Mallard Creek, and Reidsville each shifted up into higher positions.

The new team in the rankings this week is South Point, which defeated Crest 27-26 in a huge matchup in the Big South 3A Conference. South Point debuted at No. 22. The Red Raiders have a logjam of teams stuck behind them due to the transitive property.
