This week, Tarboro and Northwest Guilford have both dropped out following blowout losses on Thursday night. Independence plummeted from No. 5 to No. 25 after a shocking upset loss to Charlotte Catholic, which has now joined the rankings at No. 24. Mooresville is back in the Top 25 at No. 23 after recovering well from its last-second loss to Reagan from earlier in the season. Since then, Reagan has lost its NC State commit at quarterback Jacob Smith to an ACL injury.
