North Carolina High School Football Rankings: The Top 25 teams in the state right now

HighSchoolOT has released its updated North Carolina high school football rankings following the action of week five.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes.

The biggest change to happen this week revolves around Havelock’s collapse loss against New Bern. The Vikings dropped just outside of the Top 25, right behind New Bern and Northern Guilford, which is the only team to beat New Bern. These teams are very tight as each competition that connects them was decided by a point.

While Northern Guilford, New Bern, and Havelock wait their turn to get into the Top 25, Northwest Guilford and Leesville Road have made big entrances. The Chris Rusiewicz and Ben Kolstad-coached teams are off to undefeated starts and are coming off of statement wins in week five.
