Mikey Wilkins, a two-time first-team all-state selection, commits to N.C. State
Zymicah “Mikey” Wilkins, a consensus top-100 basketball player in the country, has committed to N.C. State, he announced on Sunday.
Wilkins is a fluid-scoring power forward with a strong frame, listed at 6-foot-8 and 240 pounds. He’s also a two-time first-team all-state selection.
He helped Christ School win the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A title this past season, his first with the boarding school from Arden. He earned first-team all-state honors, averaging 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks on 51-39-56 shooting splits.
His first two seasons of high school hoops were at R-S Central, where he was among the state’s leaders in points per game as a sophomore. He was a first-team selection in 2023, averaging 28.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.2 blocks for the Hilltoppers.
As a freshman, he averaged 15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.
