Mallard Creek two-time all-state selection Elle Stone commits to Delaware girls basketball
One of the state’s top defensive girls basketball players is off the board.
Mallard Creek two-time all-state selection Elle Stone has committed to Delaware, she announced earlier this week.
Stone made a name for herself towards the end of her sophomore year when she scored a career-high 30 points in a conference tournament win over North Mecklenburg. She was named to the HighSchoolOT third-team all-state team later that year after averaging 18.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks per game.
As a junior, she made the HSOT all-state team as an honorable mention selection, averaging 14.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.6 points, 4.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks on 51-26-45 shooting splits.
