Lewis is once again the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, with Dave Canalis taking over the position. The introductory press conference for both him and new general manager Dan Morgan was full of energy and showcased Canalis’ charisma. He is one of the younger coaches in the NFL with only one year of experience as a play caller, but his energy and enthusiasm were evident. Canalis’ previous teams, such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks, have had explosive offenses, which is something Panthers fans are hoping to see. The new coaching staff is focused on building a strong team culture and establishing alignment between the head coach and general manager. Canalis and Morgan have a good working relationship and are looking to take advantage of the strengths of their players, particularly quarterback Bryce Young. While there is excitement surrounding the new leadership, their success will ultimately be determined by their performance on the field. The goal for the Panthers this season is to improve upon their two-win record from last year. Only time will tell if this new regime will bring success to the team.
