Keenan Jackson, a player from Weddington High School, has changed his commitment from University of North Carolina (UNC) to North Carolina State University (NC State) and has officially signed with NC State.

Following his announcement of decommitment from North Carolina yesterday evening, Keenan Jackson, a wide receiver from Weddington High School, officially signed with their rival in Raleigh on Wednesday.

NC State was pleasantly surprised on National Signing Day when Jackson signed a national letter of intent with the Wolfpack.

In June, Jackson, who was ranked as a four-star wide receiver by Rivals.com, initially chose to attend UNC. However, he later withdrew his commitment on the day before National Signing Day.

Jackson announced on Twitter that he has withdrawn his commitment from the University of North Carolina. He expressed gratitude to Coach (Mack) Brown and the entire staff for the opportunity they provided.

According to Rivals.com, Jackson is ranked as the 14th best player in North Carolina and the 74th best wide receiver in the Class of 2024. He measures at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 185 pounds.

Jackson was awarded the title of Most Valuable Player in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state championship game. Weddington emerged as the clear winner against Hoggard at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.

During the fall season, Jackson played in 16 games for the Warriors and tallied 1,704 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns on 102 catches. He is also recognized for scoring a rushing touchdown and a kick return touchdown.

Jackson is the fourth player to commit to being a wide receiver for the Wolfpack in the 2024 class. He will be joining Terrell Anderson, a highly-rated receiver from Grimsley High School, as well as two receivers from out of state, Jimmar Boston from South Carolina and Christian Zachary from Georgia. There are also other players who are listed as athletes, such as Jonathan Paylor from Cummings High School, who could potentially play as receivers for NC State.

Jackson received offers from multiple universities including Appalachian State, Campbell, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Connecticut, Duke, Liberty, Maryland, N.C. A&T, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia during the recruitment process.
