Duke’s top running back, Jordan Waters, has joined the transfer portal and moved from Durham to Raleigh. Waters revealed on social media that he has committed to playing for NC State in the upcoming season.
Waters, a North Carolina native, led the Blue Devils in carries (142), rushing yards (753) and touchdowns (12) this season. One of Waters’ best performances came in Durham against the Wolfpack in October, when he rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown, including an 83-yard score, in Duke’s 24-3 win.
In 2023, Waters contributed seven receptions for 130 yards in the passing game.
Although Waters had a successful year in 2021, he also had a strong performance in 2022, rushing for 566 yards and scoring eight touchdowns.
