Information on the Clear Bag Policy for High School Sports in Wake County Schools

The Wake County Schools is enforcing a regulation that requires all attendees of sporting events to adhere to the clear bag policy. This implies that individuals in attendance must be aware of the updated guidelines.

Starting on March 1st, all athletic events at Wake County Schools will require attendees to adhere to a clear bag policy.

The regulations are comparable to those implemented for sporting venues at the collegiate and professional levels.

Permitted items include:

  • A translucent bag with dimensions not exceeding 12 inches by 15 inches by 3 inches.

  • Small pouch or wristlet no bigger than 6 inches by 8 inches by 1 inch.

  • Bags with essential medical supplies to aid the attendee (e.g. oxygen tank)
