The 2024 HighSchoolOT Garner Volleyball Showcase is set to take place this Saturday, Aug. 24. It takes place at Garner High School in Wake County. The first of the event’s five games will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the finale is set for 7:00 p.m.

The event is presented by Advance Community Health and EPIC Physical Therapy.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions will be available throughout the day.

Of the 10 invited teams, seven are ranked in this week’s HSOT Statewide Top 25 rankings, including No. 1 Cardinal Gibbons. Six of them are ranked in the top 12. Three of them are in the top four.

The event will feature some of the top recruits from North Carolina. Here are the athletes committed to Division I indoor or beach programs:

Junior Clara Evans of J.H. Rose is committed to play beach volleyball at TCU. Junior Mary Grace Gonyeau of Cardinal Gibbons is committed to Virginia. Junior Lindley Miller of Green Level is pledged to Auburn. Junior Ava Wilkerson of Orange is committed to UCF.

Senior Charlotte Bell from Cardinal Gibbons is a Wofford commit. Senior Caroline Buffum of Millbrook is set to play for Navy. Senior Kira DeVrieze of Chapel Hill is a Delaware State commit. 6-foot-4 Senior Talia Francom of Green Level is an NC State pledge. Senior Ava Grace Knott of Chapel Hill is a UC-Davis commit for beach. Senior Breanna McMillan of Millbrook is committed to USF. Senior Harper Nelson of Millbrook will play beach volleyball at Texas. Senior Alina Ryan of Cardinal Gibbons is committed to UCLA beach volleyball. Senior Ava White from Millbrook is taking her talents to Holy Cross.
