Over his recruitment, Evans received verbal offers from (in order) Charlotte, James Madison, Florida, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Troy, Temple, USF, Kent State, Bryant, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami, Liberty, NC State, Florida State, Gardner-Webb, Tennessee, and Cincinnati.
Tennessee came in with its offer on November 5. Evans committed two months later.
