Holly Springs guard Will James Jr. commits to Toledo
One of the state’s leading returning scorers is committed.
Holly Springs guard Will James Jr. pledged his commitment to Toledo on Saturday morning via social media.
He was a 2023-24 HighSchoolOT honorable mention all-state selection.
As a junior, James Jr. scored 23.6 points per contest, grabbing 6.5 rebounds and dishing out 3.5 assists. He scored over 500 points and secured the Southwest Wake 4A Conference Player of the Year award.
On December 28, James Jr. set the school record for points scored in a single game with 41 to help the Golden Hawks defeat Ashley 74-59 at the Hoggard Holiday Classic.
A year ago, Holly Springs went 18-9 overall. The Golden Hawks went 9-5 in conference play.
