Girls Lacrosse Rankings: Pinecrest the lone newcomer as Bishop McGuinness falls out

The HighSchoolOT girls lacrosse rankings are staying steady as the playoffs near.

The top 11 remains unchanged from a week ago, but Myers Park fell from 12th to 16th this week and Laney dropped from 15th to 18th. Union Pines skipped from 18th to 15th. Union Pines’ rival, Pinecrest, was the lone newcomer to this week’s top 25. The Patriots are back after two weeks away and have only lost to teams inside the top 15.

Bishop McGuinness fell out after losing to uranked Forsyth Country Day.

Rankings reminders:

  • Rankings are updated weekly and released on every Sunday
  • All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
  • Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
  • Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
