Four players drop from boys soccer all-star game, one from girls game

Some of the players on the field for the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association East-West All-Star Soccer games on Tuesday will be different than previously announced.

The NCCA announced on Sunday evening that five players have dropped from the game, and some of them will not be replaced.

Only one girls soccer player will not participate — Regan Lohr of Wakefield. She will not be replaced, the NCCA said. The East girls will plays with 15 players instead.

There are no changes to the West girls soccer roster.

On the East boys soccer roster, John Franck of New Hanover has dropped from the game. He will be replaced by Lee County’s Irvin Gutierrez.

There are three changes to the West boys soccer roster though. A.J. Logan of Owen dropped from the roster and Ian Pask of East Forsyth will step in for him.

Sam Howe of Independence and Jonah Baudrand of Asheville have also dropped. The NCCA says it is unlikely either player will be replaced and the West team will play with 14 players.

The East-West All-Star Soccer Games will be played on Tuesday evening at Grimsley High School’s Jamieson Stadium in Greensboro. The girls game will start at 6:30 p.m., with the boys game beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m.

HighSchoolOT will have full coverage of the all-star games in Greensboro.
