First Flight, Greene Central lead HSOT’s preseason 252 boys soccer area code rankings

HighSchoolOT has released its preseason boys soccer rankings for the 252 area code.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes.

Our 252 area code consists of these counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Vance, Warren, Washington, and Wilson.

Defending 3A state champion First Flight leads the preseason rankings for the 252. The Nighthawks return a handful of starters, including one HSOT all-state player, from last year’s team.

Greene Central, a team that went 18-5-1 and reached the 2A East regional final, returns three of its top four starters and is second.
