Millbrook High School’s standout linebacker Quinton Cypher received a verbal scholarship offer from East Carolina University’s football program on Saturday. The offer happened as Millbrook participated in the 2024 Beast of the East 7-on-7 tournament at ECU.

It is the fifth offer for the rising sophomore. He shared the news on his X account.

The class of 2027 prospect was previously offered by Troy, Charlotte, Duke, and NC State.

Cypher compiled 155 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in his debut season.

Millbrook finished the 2023 season with a 9-3 overall record. It was the Wildcats’ first season under new head coach Laymarr Marshall. Millbrook fell to Cardinal Gibbons in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association’s 4A East playoffs.
