ECU is the first FBS school to offer West Cabarrus freshman QB Jared Street
East Carolina University’s football team is the first FBS program to offer a freshman quarterback at West Cabarrus High School. Jared Street took to his X account on Monday to announce the verbal offer.
It is the fourth total offer for Street. All of his offers have come from in-state schools. Division II Catawba College was the first to offer, followed by D1 FCS schools Gardner-Webb University and Campbell University.
The class of 2027 prospect is listed at six feet tall and 165 pounds.
As a freshman, Street completed 111 of his 240 passing attempts for 1,318 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions.
West Cabarrus was a very young team last year and finished with a 1-9 overall record. The Wolverines’ lone win came in Greater Metro 4A Conference play against South Iredell.
