East Forsyth sits at No. 1 in HSOT’s preseason 336 area code rankings

HighSchoolOT has released its preseason football rankings for the 336 area code early to HSOT Insiders.

HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes.

Our 336 area code region consists of these counties: Alamance, Alleghany, Ashe, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, Yadkin.

East Forysth is the top-ranked team in our 336 preseason ranks. The Eagles are led by 4-star UNC quarterback commit Bryce Baker. Last fall, Baker threw for 3,082 yards, 39 touchdowns, and just three interceptions in his first year as a starter at East Forsyth. This year, Baker is a senior and had a full offseason. The Eagles returned top weapons like receiver Jaire Richburg and athlete Jaylin Murry, but the school also added FBS prospects at running back (Jaylen Moore) and left tackle (JB Shabazz) through transfer.

Greensboro foes Dudley and Grimsley are right on East Forsyth’s heels. Dudley returns three 1,000-yard receivers and two 1,000-yard rushers but has to replace HSOT All-State quarterback Andrew Attmore. Grimsley returns its 5-star junior quarterback Faizon Brandon, but Brandon doesn’t have the 4-star wide receiver duo of Terrell Anderson and Alex Taylor anymore. Grimsley does return a back-to-back 2,000-yard rusher in senior Mitchell Summers and a 4-star defensive end in Clemson commit Bryce Davis. Dudley has a slight advantage over Grimsley in terms of returning defensive production.
