Dudley takes No. 1 in final girls indoor track & field rankings for 2024-25
Dudley ends the year as No. 1 team in HighSchoolOT’s statewide high school girls indoor track & field statewide rankings for the 2024-25 season.
The Panthers won their third straight N.C. High School Athletic Association championship in 3A. This is the first year that Dudley has finished No. 1 in the HighSchoolOT girls indoor rankings.
Dudley is followed by 4A champ Cardinal Gibbons, Cuthbertson, 1A/2A champ Cummings, and Mallard Creek.
Scores are calculated as if there was one big state meet featuring every in-state school’s times from their respective state championships.
New this year is the way in which scores are calculated (the top 20 spots are scored instead of top 10, with top-10 placers getting one bonus point and 1st place getting an additional bonus point — 22, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) and a new rule that the No. 1 spot must go to a team state champion.
For schools in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association, they were scored based on their end-of-year invitational that works as a de facto state title.
Cuthbertson had been No. 1 in all three previous indoor track & field rankings (2024, 2023, and 2022).
