The program “CBS” will air at 5:30 PM on Saturday, March 23rd with a time zone of EDT.

Saturday’s round two matchup between basketball powerhouses North Carolina and Michigan State could be described as the “Kevin Guskiewicz game.”

In early March, Guskiewicz assumed the position of president at Michigan State University. He previously served as chancellor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from February 2019 until his move to Michigan State.

UNC coach Hubert Davis expressed his admiration for Guskiewicz and his family, calling him a wonderful person. Davis also praised Guskiewicz’s time as chancellor at North Carolina and mentioned that they have a friendly relationship.

I hope he does well at Michigan State, and Michigan State is fortunate to have him.

The top-ranked North Carolina team will play against the 9th-ranked Michigan State team at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be broadcasted on CBS.

Davis also praised Tom Izzo, the current head coach of the Michigan State Spartans since 1995.

Davis expressed his enduring fandom for Izzo and praised his leadership on and off the court. As a former player, Davis admired Izzo’s dedication not only to his team but also to the university and community at large.

Davis reviewed Elliot Cadeau’s performance in the NCAA Tournament first round against Wagner on Friday. Despite playing for 18 minutes, Cadeau did not score but did manage to have three assists and three rebounds. However, he also had four turnovers.

Davis stated that the matchups between the guards will play a significant role in determining the outcome of the game.

Harrison Ingram, a forward for UNC, protected Cadeau on the court.

Ingram stated that he was originally a highly-rated guard who moved up a level, which means he should currently be in high school. The fact that he is now playing as a point guard on the top-ranked team in the country is quite an impressive achievement.

“You have both good and bad games that you play.”

Michigan State’s senior duo of Tyson Walker and A.J. Hoggard boasts a formidable backcourt. In their victory against Mississippi State on Thursday, Walker led the team with 19 points.

Ingram described the team as physically strong and highlighted the skills of their guard, Walker, who is known for his toughness and ability to make both off-the-dribble and 3-point shots.

Cormac Ryan, a guard for UNC, discussed the confrontation between two renowned teams.

Ryan expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to compete against strong opponents and achieve a commendable victory in March Madness.

A journalist inquired Davis for his thoughts on the performance of center Armando Bacot. Bacot, who is in his last season with the Tar Heels, has achieved seven straight double-doubles in NCAA Tournament games, matching the records previously held by Tim Duncan and Akeem Olajuwon (who later changed his name to Hakeem).

Davis mentioned that college basketball has undergone major changes during Bacot’s time in college, including the implementation of NIL, the transfer portal, an extra year due to COVID, increased involvement of agents, and coaching changes following the pandemic.

He has faced many changes and challenges in his career, and we often discuss how to react and respond to them. Despite this, he has handled them well and achieved great success. This is definitely something worth celebrating.

Davis praised Bacot’s dedication to the program over the last five years.

Davis expressed his satisfaction with Bacot’s commitment to being a Tar Heel, stating that it has been a privilege to be one of his coaches for the past five years.

On Friday, the Tar Heels held a practice session at Johnson C. Smith University, a privately run historically Black institution located in Charlotte.

“[It’s] where my parents went to school,” Davis said. “That’s where they met and decided to get married and have Hubert Jr.

“It was a significant opportunity for me to return to John C. Smith and engage in practice. I was able to record portions of our practice and share it with my father.”
