Christ School’s Chad Walker hired as the head football coach at Pace University
Christ School will have a new head football coach in 2025.
Chad Walker has accepted the head coaching position at Pace University in New York. Pace’s athletic director Mark Brown announced the hiring on Tuesday afternoon. Pace is a Division II program that competes in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10).
The private boarding and day school for boys only hired Walker in May of 2021. He also served as the assistant athletic director.
Walker previously worked as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Pace from 2014-2016. Before being hired at Pace the first time, Walker was the head coach and quarterbacks coach at Bridgton Academy in Maine.
When he was in college, Walker played at Lafayette for four years. He went on to play professionally in Europe for a couple of years. After his professional stint, he came back to be an assistant coach at Randolph-Macon from Aug. 2008-June 2009. Walker returned to Lafayette as an assistant coach in various capacities from Aug. 2009-Feb. 2012.
In between his first stint at Pace and his time at Christ School, Walker was the head coach at Land O’ Lakes High School in Florida (Feb. 2018-Jan. 2020) and at Cambridge Christian School in Tampa (Jan. 2020-May 2021).
Under Walker, Christ School played extraordinarily tough schedules, which features powers from multiple other states.
His Greenie teams finished with overall records of 4-5, 6-6, 4-7, and 4-5.
Christ School plays in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association’s Division I.
