Carolina Hurricanes re-sign Jack Drury to two-year deal :: WRALSportsFan.com

The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed restricted free agent Jack Drury to a two-year extension that will keep him with the franchise until the end of the 2025-26 season, general manager Eric Tulsky announced in a statement on Wednesday.

“Jack took tremendous steps last season to solidify himself as a key part of our forward group,” Tulsky said. “He is an extremely hard worker at both ends of the ice who can be relied upon at all situations, and we are excited to watch his continued growth in Carolina.”

The two-year deal is worth $3.45 million. Drury will earn an average-annual value of $1.725 million through 2025-2026.

The 24-year-old had 27 points (8 goals, 19 assists) in 74 NHL regular season games with the ‘Canes last season. That included new career highs in games played, goals, assists, points, power-play goals and power-play points.

A second round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Hurricanes, Drury skated in 105 games for the Chicago Wolves from 2021-2023, finishing with 76 points (31 goals, 45 assists). In 2022-23, he skated in 38 games for Carolina and ultimately earned his spot with the team.

As a restricted free agent, Drury was issued a qualifying offer on June 30 before the beginning of free agency. He elected salary arbitration on July 5.
