Cardinal Gibbons girls cross country No. 1 for second straight year in HSOT statewide rankings

For the second straight year, Cardinal Gibbons ends the season as the No. 1 team in the HighSchoolOT girls cross country rankings.

The Crusaders were N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A state champions, placing its top five runners in the top 29 to win by a wide margin. HSOT uses championship times across all classifications and associations and combines them into one big state meet to calculate the final rankings, in which Gibbons would have placed its top five in the overall top 60.
